Ivy maintains an active trial practice with an emphasis on personal injury, wrongful death, insurance defense and products liability issues. She has effectively represented clients in a variety of specific matters, from those which require a sophisticated understanding of technical concepts such as biotoxin exposure, proper operation of machinery, and functionality of medical devices, to cases involving boundary disputes and auto accident injuries. Her commitment to finding the best solution for her clients has led her to work extensively in mediation and other forms of alternative dispute resolution. She has successfully litigated cases in all levels of the Maine State Courts and in the Federal District Court.

Ivy received her B.A. cum laude and graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Vermont in 1983. She attended the University of Maine School of Law, graduating cum laude, where she won local and national appellate advocacy awards. Following graduation, Ivy clerked for Chief Justice Daniel Wathen of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court (1993-1994) before commencing private practice.

Prior to attending law school, Ivy worked in natural resource education and conservation for seven years, serving as a spokesperson on natural resource issues, education and conservation.
