“My practice in Maine is deeply satisfying. I make a difference that I experience every day. I participate in my clients’ plans for growth and then see the dramatic, positive impacts those plans make on the neighborhoods and communities that we live in.”

Paul has experience in negotiating all types of real estate agreements, from simple purchase and sale contracts to complex acquisition agreements for subdivision developments and retail malls. He has substantial expertise in all aspects of planning and financing transactions, and has successfully appeared before numerous municipal boards to obtain required approvals for development projects. He has also negotiated sophisticated leasing arrangements with national and local companies.

A considerable portion of Paul’s practice involves estate planning and administration. He works with families and businesses to create tax-favored estate plans and to structure business succession plans that reflect appropriate estate considerations. He regularly appears in the Maine Probate Courts and in the Law Court as a court of appeals, and has represented clients in disputes ranging from simple guardianship conflicts to more complex estate and trust  matters and disputes. Paul also has provided administration services to estates of varied sizes.

Paul and his wife have three children. He is an avid hockey player and an incorporator and supporter of the Portland Hockey Trust which teaches life skills and sportsmanship to underserved youth grades 3, 4 and 5 in Portland.
