Robyn has more than twenty years experience in the area of employment discrimination. Her law practice is focused on a broad-range of employment-related matters. She has extensive experience representing both individuals and employers in claims filed under the Maine Human Rights Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Whistleblower’s Protection Act, and the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Robyn has successfully represented clients in both state and federal court, as well as before the Maine Human Rights Commission, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other federal administrative agencies. She has a very active practice advocating on behalf of federal employees who have suffered from employment discrimination.  Robyn’s eight years of experience as an investigator for the Maine Human Rights Commission, prior to attending law school, give her unique insight into the administrative agencies that enforce employment laws, which adds a valuable and rare dimension to the expertise she brings to the firm’s clients.

“Improving the day-to-day life of a client through the law is what matters most to me, whether it is preserving someone’s employment, or assisting an institutional client in advancing the quality of its work environment, or preventing and effectively remedying claims of discrimination.”

Robyn regularly provides counsel to employers in “best practices” and the complex compliance issues raised by state and federal employment statutes. She routinely drafts employment policies and handbooks for many of the firm’s clients, negotiates severance agreements and employment contracts, and investigates employee complaints of harassment and discrimination for employer clients.

Robyn also practices immigration law and is a member of the Immigrant Legal Advocacy Project’s panel of pro bono attorneys. She has been the recipient of the NAACP’s Portland Chapter’s President’s Award and the Cumberland County Child Abuse and Neglect Council’s award for her work with the children of immigrant families in Portland.

Robyn lives with her husband in Falmouth, Maine, and has two adult children.
